국문 초록

오늘날 다원주의의 틀 안에서는 다양한 공동체에 근거한 문화예술 활동이 장려된다. 이는 유엔의 세계인권선언(1948) 27조에도 명시되어 있듯이 “공동체의 문화생활에 자유롭게 참여할 권리”는 인간으로서의 기본권리 중 하나이기 때문이다. 소외계층을 위한 문화예술교육은 문화권의 대한 구체적 실천으로서 ‘사회복지’ 개념 발달의 연장선상에서 대두되고 연구되어 왔다. 본 연구는 연구자가 참여했던 소외계층을 위한 문화예술교육의 경험을 바탕으로 소외계층을 위한 문화예술교육을 왜, 어떻게 해야 하는 지를 재질문하고 이를 위하여 소외계층 대상의 문화예술교육의 기본 토대로서 ‘문 화복지’ 개념과 문화복지의 대상으로서 ‘문화소외계층’을 고찰하였다. 특별히 ‘무엇으로부터의 소외인가? ’라는 질문을 통하여 소외 계층의 문화예술교육의 내용과 접근 방식의 문제를 다루고 문화예술교육의 지향과 관련하여 소외를 야기하는 부족한 ‘무엇’에 대한 교육이 아닌 개개의 존재와 존재론적 조건에 맞는 교육을 고민해야 함을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Today a variety of community-based cultural activities are encouraged within the framework of pluralism. As stated on the United Nations' Declaration of Human Rights(1948) 27, “the right to participate freely in cultural life of the community,” the community-based cultural activity is one of the basic rights as human beings. Arts education for the underprivileged of the culture as a concrete action have been studied on the extension of social welfare. This study is focused on a critical reflection of my experience with the support program, “HEABICHI(해비치)”, of the cultural arts education for underprivileged children. Through my experience, I questioned, ‘Why should arts education do?’, ‘What do I do with arts education?’ To answer for these questions, I examined about ‘cultural welfare’ and ‘underprivileged of Cultural Arts’. In particular, I dealt with contents and approaches of cultural arts education for the underprivileged, while thinking of the question, “Alienated from what?” I expect that this study, based on the project, will provide insights to improve future cultural arts programs for vulnerable groups, especially the underprivileged.
