국문 초록

본 논문은 헝가리 인들이 가지고 있는 민족적 자의식을 찾아보기 위한 것이며, 현재 헝가리 인들이 가장 헝가리적인 것이라고 여기거나 또는 전형적 헝가리의 특징이라고 간주하는 상징들을 취합하고 분석하여 헝가리 인들이 자신들의 정체성과 주체성을 어떻게 간주하고 있는 지를 도출해내게 된다. 특히 본 연구는 전형적이고 가장 특징적인 헝가리성의 상징 대상들은 헝가리 인들의 민족 문화와 전통 민속에 그 기원을 두고 발전해 와 오늘날의 전형적 상징 대상으로 간주되고 있을 것이라는 전제 하에서 출발하였으며, 따라서 조사 분석 역시 헝가리 학자의 연구결과에서 나타난 대표적 헝가리 성 상징 대상물 즉 구야쉬(gulyás), 포도주, 아카시아, 장미, 파프리카, 말, 핀-우그리언(Finno-Ugric), 3월 15일, 페뙤피 샨도르(Petőfi Sándor), 꼬슈뜨 러요시(Kossuth Lajos), 성(聖) 이쉬트반왕의 왕관 문장(紋章) 등을 헝가리 문화사 및 민속적 유래와 기원 그리고 그 속에서의 가치를 조사 분석하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this thesis is to search the national consciousness of Hungarians and to deduce how Hungarians consider their identity and subjectivity by not only seeking but also analysing the symbols of Hungarian's traditional characteristics at present. Especially, this study starts under the presupposition that the traditional and characteristic symbols are based on the national culture and folk customs and developed until now. Therefore, the representative symbols such as gulyás, wine, acacia tree, rose, paprika, horse, 15th of march, Sándor Petőfi, Lajos Kossuth, the coat of arms with the Holy Crown are analysed based on the Hungarian's cultural history and the folk source and origin to find out the values in them.
