Solidarity was regarded as one of the most important social movement of Polish contemporary history. In Fact, it played a crucial role on the road to the polish comunist regime's downfall. What is ironical is that Solidarity has gradually lost its social and political influence in the Post-communist period. At the beginning, Solidarity already had its limit. Solidarity was born in the social movement which has finally given rise to Polish communist system's collapse. However, it was not a political movement, but a social movement in which various political groups co-exist. Il had proposed neither a political alternative nor a proper ideology. In this reason, Solidarity was inevitably divided and changed into two or three different political groups. To conclude, Solidarity's decline is due to its inherent limit.
