기록작업을 통한 유아교사의 사고와 행동의 변화

국문 초록

본 연구는 기록작업을 통한 발현적 교육과정의 실천을 통하여 교사의 사고와 행동이 어떤 변화과정을 거치게 되는지 알아봄으로써 교육 현장에서 교사에게 기록작업이 가지는 의미를 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위해 S 병설유치원에서 8개월 동안 소그룹 프로젝트 활동을 실시하면서 기록작업을 수행하여 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 연구 결과 발현적 교육과정에 대한불안감, 주제 선정과 소집단 운영의 어려움, 교사의 의도와 유아의 흥미 사이에서의 갈등, 청결·안전 문제와 유아의 다양한 경험 제공간의 갈등과 같이 새로운 시작에 대한 부족함으로 갈등하는 교사로부터 기록작업을 수행하면서 유아들의 가설에 가치 부여 협동의 중요성 인식. 유아의 창의적 매체활용 능력 인식, 표상을 활용하는 의사소통의 주체자로서의 유아 인식 등 유아의 새로운 모습들을 발견하게 되었고, 이를 통해 발문에 대한 고민, 협력자로서의 유아와 교사 인식, 다양한 매체 지원을 위한 노력, 유아의 개인차 인식과 배려 등 전문가로서의 도약을 위해 노력하는 교사로 변화되어 갔다. 교사에게 기록작업은 전문성을 지향하는 자기 성찰의 과정으로서의 의미가 있고, 본 연구는 현장에서 아동중심교육의 실천을 위한 기록작업의 중요성을 제시한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explain the meaning of documentation for teachers in the education field by identifying the changing process of teacher's thinking and behavior with practicing emergent curriculum through documentation. For this purpose, small group projects were conducted with children for eight months and data were collected through documentation including observation, recording, taking pictures, and video recording during the process and then analysed in collaboration with researchers and two teachers. The result showed that the unstable beginning class with anxiety about emergent curriculum, difficulty in selecting subjects and managing the small group, and the conflict between teacher's intention and children's interest has changed to the one with providing values on hypotheses of children, recognizing importance of cooperation, acknowledging creative ability of children in using material, and understanding children as the subjects of communication using representation in the process of documentation. This documentation has brought the effort to be the expert through agony about inquiry, cooperation with co-teachers, endeavor to provide various materials, recognition and consideration of individual difference of children, and converting to a listener of communication. This study suggests the significance of documentation to practice child-centered education in the actual fields.
