국문 초록

화환신용장 메커니즘은 주요한 문제없이 전자적으로 운용될 수 있다 전자화환신용장은 정보기술시대에서 여전히 가장 좋은 결제방법의 선택이라고 할 수 있다 전자신용장은 다른 방식의 국제결제에 대한 신용장의 모든 이점들을 유지할 수는 있지만, 이는 전자신용장 시스템의 보안관련 문제가 개선되어야 하고, 전자신용장에 대한 기존의 법률적 장애가 제거되어야만 가능하다 본 논문은 전자신용장과 관련된 전자무역인프라, 전자신용장 거래관습 그리고 전자신용장의 법률체계차원에서 전자신용장 도입상의 문제점과 해결방안을 제시하공 있다 본 논문의 목적은 전자신용장 도입상의 문제점과 해결방안을 연구함으로써 전자화환신용장의 활성화에 기여하는 것이다

영문 초록

The documentary letter of credit mechanism can operate electronically without major problems Electronic documentary credits remain the best choice in the information age The electronic letter of credit can preserve all the advantages of credits over other methods of international payments, but the security of the electronic letter of credit system should be improved and existing legal impedi-ments to electronic letter of credit should be removed This paper presents the problems and solutions in the adoption of electronic letter of credit in view of e-trade infrastructures regarding electronic letter of credit and reade practice of electronic let-ter of credit and the legal regime of electronic letter of credit The purpose of this paper is to contribute to the activation of electronic letter of credit by studying the problems and solutions in the adoption of electronic letter of credit
