우리나라 파렛트 사용량에 대한 실증적 분석

국문 초록

파렛트는 물류 효율화에 있어 가장 기초적이며 필수적인 요소이다. 본 연구결과에 의하면 우리나라에서 취급하는 물동량 중에서 파렛트화가 가능한 물동량은 45.1% 수준으로 매우 높지만, 실제로 파렛트로 출고하는 비율은 10.4% 수준에 불과하다. 향후 물류효율화를 위해 파렛트 출고율을 높이기 위한 연구가 지속적으로 추진되어야 한다. 우리나라 물류표준화율과 밀접한 관련이 있는 파렛트 규격별 사용량은 2007년 기준 1100x1100mm 규격 26.0%, 1200x1000mm 규격 17.0% 수준으로 분석되었다. 이것은 사용량 측면에서 T11형이 표준파렛트로서의 역할이 미미하다고 할 수 있다. 본 결과는 향후 파렛트 관련 연구의 주요 방향을 제시하고 있으며, 우리나라의 일관수송용 파렛트의 합리화 및 파렛트 정책 결정에 있어 중요한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

영문 초록

This paper aims to provide reliable results of pallet usage in Korea through a status survey with systematic processes. Pallet has played an important role in several fields of logistics and it should be considered preferentially to achieve logistics efficiency. It is possible to transport domestic freights volume on pallets up to 45%, but only 10% of these volume are transported on pallets in Korea. This result shows that studies on raising this rate must be carried out consistently. The pallet usage by size has a close relationship with logistics standardization rate. 26%, the use rate of 1100x1100mm pallet, is much lower than 39%, the result of the previous research in 2006. On the other hand, the use rate of 1200x1000mm pallet is much higher than that of 2006. These results show that the Korean standard pallet, 1100x1100mm, has limited influences on logistics fields. This study can provide rationale in determining standard pallet sizes for unit load system.
