국문 초록

현재 우리 교육에서 추구하는 이상적인 인간-전인(全人)은 지⋅정⋅의가 조화를 이룬 다방면의 능력을 가진 모습이다. 미술교육에서 추구하는 이상적인 인간상으로는 문화적 소양을 갖추고 그것을 즐기는 심미적인 사람으로 설정하고 있다. 또한 서양과 동양의 심미적 인간의 모습은 쉴러, 공자 및 장자를 통해서 살펴보면 동ㆍ서양이 매우 상이한 모습을 하면서도 또 다른 면에서 매우 닮아 있는 모습도 발견할 수가 있었다. 그리고 동아시아의 심미적 인간과 그 정신적 경계를 조명하면서 내면의 평화, 평정, 자연과의 합일 속에 호연지기나 천인합일의 미적 체험을 일상의 삶속에서 실천하는 군자나 지인의 모습을 볼 수 있었다. 이런 모습은 우리 예술교육의 인간상을 설정하고 재정립하는데 있어 시사를 받거나 재검토할 필요성을 갖는다. 이는 마치 잃어버린 자아를 찾듯 우리 예술교육의 진일보를 위해선 꼭 필요로 하는 일이다.

영문 초록

The ideal image of modern man our education aims at is a person who is equally harmonized in intellect, emotion, and volition. The ideal man art education pursues is one who is culturally disposed and is able to enjoy culture aesthetically. The image of aesthetic man in the West and the East is researched in the works of Schiller, Confucius, and Chuang Tze. The result of the researched showed some common points and some drastic differences. The spiritual elements of the aesthetic man in the East are inner peace, equanimity, and oneness with Nature. These elements produced a vast-flowing mind and man's oneness with heaven, a kind of aesthetic experience. which is put into everyday practice by virtuous men and true men. These ideal images of aesthetic persons can be used as a guide to the setting up and reestablishment of an ideal model for contemporary art education. This is necessary for the advancement of art education as it is necessary to find our lost self.
