The purpose of this study was to investigate the recognition and Preference Degree of University Students for Performance art of Tea Culture. For this, this researcher used total 206 copies of questionnaires collected by the random sampling of undergraduate students who live in seoul area as the analysis data of this study. The copies collected were computerized with SAS 9.1. First, as for the image of performance art of tea culture, they showed the tendency to prefer performance art based on modern and fusion tea culture. Second, as for the preference degree of performance form of tea culture, answer that they care about tea ceremony with tea music was highest. Third, as for the content of performance of tea culture, they showed to prefer performance of modern and various tea culture. Today, interest and consumption about tea are being expanded, but recognition and development on the performance art of tea culture are insufficient. This study has a significance to suggest a development performance art of tea culture as a cultural industry.
