영문 초록

  Dal-Seong Park which is located in the central of the Dae-gu city is the most significant space and it has been recognized as a peculiar place in the rapid change of Dae-gu urban center since the modern age.
  Even though Dal-Seong Park is an essential place to explain the history of the center of Dae-gu city, proper management to preserve and avail itself of the full range of historical place has not been accomplished. This also can be explained by the shortage of public recognition and the others of neighboring construction to improve the physical environment.
  To establish an adequate image, spatial value and even correct understanding is necessary to renew the true character of historical places which exist in the city such as Dal-Seong Park.
  Therefore, this study aimed at clarifying the formation process and revaluating the spatial value of Dal-Seong eastern castle through reconsidering its intrinsic attribute. The findings of this study can be used to preserve Dal-Seong Park and to present the direction for instituting the value of historical space.
