국문 초록
본고는 매체에 따른 글쓰기 방식의 차이를 고찰하였다. 이를 위해서 1930년대에 발생하였던 한 사건을 소개하는 한편, 그 사건이 당시의 매체와 만나서 어떤 변용을 거쳤으며 그 의미가 무엇인지를 밝혔다. 1930년대의 대표적인 근대매체라고 할 수 있는 신문과 유성기가 이 사건을 다루는 방식과 글쓰기에는 차이가 있었다.
신문매체는 기본적으로 객관적인 태도를 견지하면서도 신문사나 기자에 따라서 동일한 사건을 다루는 방식이 달랐다. 『동아일보』가 김봉자의 자살을 정치적인 차원에서 해석하였던 반면에 『매일신보』는 다소 감상적인 어휘 등을 사용하여 노병운의 자살을 부정적인 행위로 평가하였던 것이다.
그러나 이러한 사건이 대중적인 문예물로 변용될 때는 오직 순애보적인 측면만 부각시켜 정감적인 글쓰기가 주류를 이루었다. 특히 직설적으로 감정을 토로하는 노골적인 어휘를 사용하여 김봉자와 노병운의 자살을 ‘비극적이면서도 낭만적인 사랑의 신화’로 바꾸어놓았던 것이다. 그리하여 대중적 문예물에서 김봉자는 죽음으로 사랑을 지켜낸 ‘천사’ 내지는 ‘진정한 사랑의 화신’으로까지 찬미되었다.

영문 초록
This paper examined the changes in writing methods according to media. To this end, an incident that occurred in the 1930s was discussed, and then the changes that this event underwent after contact with the contemporary media and the meaning of these changes were examined. There was a difference in the way this event was handled and in the writing styles employed by the representative forms of media at the time, newspapers and phonographic records.
The newspaper media basically maintained an objective stance, yet the way in which the event was handled differed depending on the newspaper and the reporter. The Dong-A Ilbo interpreted Kim Bong-ja"s suicide on a political level, while the Maeil Sinbo used a somewhat sentimental vocabulary, judging No Byeong-un"s suicide to be an example of wrong behavior.
Yet when this event became the subject of popular art, only the genuine love story was highlighted, with emotional writing styles making up the mainstream. In particular, these accounts used a blunt vocabulary that directly expressed emotions, transforming Kim Bong-ja and No Byeong-un"s suicide into "a tragic yet romantic myth of love." In this way, Kim Bong-ja was praised in popular art as an "angel" or "incarnation of true love" that defended love through her death.
