1. CONTENTS
(1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES
The purpose of this study is to make a contribution to an agreeable and comfortable housing culture construction for the aged by figuring out the preference of housing for the old according to the social class and suggesting the housing development measure according to the social class.
(2) RESEARCH METHOD
The data were analyzed by SPSS WIN 12.0 program. These measure of value are classified by giving consequence to each item with reference to ISC(index of status characteristics) of Wanner. The analytical methods used in this study were frequency, mean, standard deviation, factor analysis, ANOVA, Chi-Squae analysis, post-hoc estimation(Duncan test), To verify the reliability of each measure, Cronbach"s alpha coefficient was used.
(3) RESEARCH RESULTS
The upper social class preferred a residential housing which is designed to help the old live in comfortably with family, the middle social class preferred a town for the aged which fulfills all the conditions for the life of the aged, and the lower social class preferred a large scale low cost asylum for the aged or nursing home.
2. RESULTS
The preference and satisfaction of the housing for the old according to the social class was different. And the result of the preference survey about the town for the aged in which the developers are interested showed the differences according to the group. Therefore, it is considered that the housing planning for the old aged differentiated according to the social class is required.
