국문 초록

  우리는 시각체제를 통해 외부의 정보를 받아들여 개념과 지식을 형성한다. 시각체제는 정보처리. 기억, 심상 및 주의 등의 인지(認知)와 깊은 관련을 가지며 지능적인 속성을 가진다. 본 연구의 목적은 시각체제를 인간의 중요한 능력 중 하나의 지능으로 상정하며 미술교육과의 관계를 살펴보는 데 있다. 본 연구의 내용과 방법은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시각체제와 인지와의 관련성을 고찰한다. 둘째. 시각체제를 지능으로 상정하며 시각지능의 개념과 의미를 알아본다. 셋째, 시각지능과 미술교육과의 관계를 알아본다. 이와 같은 내용은 인지심리학, 지각심리학. 생리심리학, 신경심리학, 시각심리학의 문헌을 중심으로 고찰하였다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과는 시각체제를 인지와 깊은 관련을 가지는 지능으로 상정하며 ‘시각지능은 대상의 형태, 색채, 공간, 운동의 특정을 지각하고 인지하는 능력과 표현하는 능력이다.’라고 개념화 한다. 또한 시각지능은 미술교육과 깊은 관련을 가지며 미술교육을 인지적 활동으로 이끄는 의의를 제공한다.

영문 초록

  We make outer information into knowledge and notion through a visual system. A visual system makes a deep relation with memory, a image: a mental image, cognition and has a intellectual attribute.
  The purpose of this study is to research the relationship between visual system which is suggested one of the most important human abilities and art education.
  The contents and processes of this study are as following: First, to think over the relationship between visual system and cognition.
  Second, to suggest visual system as intelligence and to look over the notion & meaning of visual intelligence.
  Third, to research the relationship between visual intelligence and art education. Especially I refer to documents about cognitive psychology, perception psychology, physiological psychology, nerval psychology, visual psychology.
  Therefore the result of this study suggests visual system as an intelligence which relate to cognition deeply and makes notion that "visual intelligence is an ability to express and recognize the characteristic of object"s form, color, space, movement.
  Also visual intelligence has a deep relationship with art education and provides a significance to convert art education into cognitive movements.
