교육실습 지도에 대한 특수교사의 인식 및 실태조사

국문 초록

  이 연구는 특수학교에서 교육실습생 지도 경험이 있는 실습지도 교사들이 교육실습에 대하여 어떻게 인식하고 있는지를 교육실습 준비, 교육실습 운영, 그리고 교육실습을 위한 대학의 협력 등을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 연구의 대상은 14개 특수학교에 재직중인 259명의 특수교사였다. 분석결과, 약 20%의 교사들은 특수학교에서 공식적인 사전준비 없이 교육실습생을 맞이한다고 하였고, 교육실습의 운영내용은 주로 수업지도에 관한 사항이라고 하였다. 현행 교육실습기간에 대해서는 응답자의 45.6%가 부적절하다고 평가 하였고, 교육실습생들이 실습일지의 작성, 학습지도와 관련한 세안의 작성, IEP의 작성 등에 관한 사항을 대학에서 충분히 교육받지 못하고 실습에 배치된다고 응답하였다. 교육실습생을 지도하는 것이 자신에게 도움이 된다는 의견은 57.6%였으며, 자원해서 특수교사가 교육실습생을 맡아 지도하는 경우는 10.4%에 불과하였다. 따라서 특수교사를 양성하는 대학과 특수학교간에 교육실습에 대한 보다 긴밀한 협력이 필요하며, 실습담당 교사들에 대한 다양한 관리와 각 특수학교마다 특성이 있는 교육실습을 운영할 수 있는 방안이 마련될 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

  The current study was conducted to investigate perception of teachers at special schools on practicum of student teachers regarding to planning, management and collaboration with universities. 259 teachers at special schools nationwide were participated for the survey. Approximately 20% of participants report that they don"t have school level formal planning for practicum. 45.6% of participants perceive thar four-week-practicum is not appropriate for comprehensive instruction on teaching and learning. Furthermore, they state that student teachers have difficulties on practicum journal writing, lesson plan, and IEP. 57.6% of them believe that supervision of practicum is beneficial for their teaching and learning. However only 10.4% of them are volunteer teachers as supervisor for student teachers. Conclusively collaboration with universities for systematic practicum is necessary. Practicum management plan is needed such as consistent evaluation on student teachers" performance for supervising teachers.
