In order to live a happy life, Food clothes and shelter form the requisites of our life. Nevertheless if we pursuit of this material life too much, our spiritual living would be oppressed with bondage of desires.
N?g?rjuna, the author of Madhyamaka-k?rika, in the chapter three (Cak?ur?d?ndriya-par?k??) of MK, deals with the sphere of faculty of the six sense organs. And in the case of seeing, we have a tendency to believe that the outside objects are so realistic that we receive somewhat impressions about them through open eyed. But according to N?g?rjuna"s opinion, there art not present only seeing activity (dar?ana) but also the objects to be seen(dra??avya) and the seer(dra???) with self nature(svab?ava).
N?g?rjuna demonstrates its non-possbility by means of the understanding of logic involved in the previous chapter two, therein the three concepts of gata, agata, and gamyamana cannot be sustained.
Thus in this treatise, the first task was how to know the three concepts of gata and the rest be adjusted to the case of seeing.
And the following investigation was to make clear as a results of it the extinguishment of bondage of anguish. In other words, it is nothing but the return disappearance of dv?da??nga-prat?tyasamut-p?da. It seems to be important because it gives us suggestions as to the fact that N?g?rjuna accepted the doctrine of Primitive Buddhism in this portion.
