Purpose: The purpose of this study is designed to develope an abdominal exercise program for abdominal obesity among middle age of woman, and influence on the body composition of an abdominal obese in middle age of woman.
Method: The study is conducted from september 1, 2005 to December 30, 2005. Based on the course of program development, the study followed the planning, development and evaluation of the program.
As a training method, with an intensity of abdominal exercise, has been enforced along with a gradual increase in time and intensity, and intensity weight that into effect 5 days in a week for 4 weeks.
In the process of analyzing the changes in the body composition between before having to do the abdominal exercise and after having to do so showed some differences in the weight, and fat ratio after the training.
Result: The two sample t-test was applied in order to probate the difference in the body component ratio according to the testing group and survey time and the following conclusions were obtained.
1) experiment group than in control group showed a significant difference in body weight(p=0.004).
2) no significant differences between two groups statistically, but experiment group than in control group showed a significant difference in body mass index.
3) experiment group than in control group showed a significant difference in fat ratio(p=0.00).
4) experiment group than in control group showed significant difference in waist circumference (p=0.009).
5) no significant differences between two groups statistically, but experiment group than in control group showed significant difference in hip circumference.
