The purpose of this study was to furnish the data in more effective golf training with examination of difference and function of isokinetic strength in flexion & extension of shoulder and knee and golf driver swing speed is different between professional golfers who have been experienced for at least 5 years and amateur golfers with age of earlier 20"s.
To accomplish the experimental study, I chose an intensive isokinetic test and golf driver swing speed is carried out with ten professional golfers and ten amateur golfers by using Cybex NORMTM and SWING MATE(Model G460).
SPSS 11.0 was used in analysis of data. From the above study, the following results were obtained: 1) Peak torque of right shoulder and knee wasn"t significantly different (p<0.01) between professional golfers and amateur golfers for flexion and extension at all of the above speeds(60°/sec, 180°/sec, 240°/sec). Peak torque to body weight of right shoulder wasn"t significantly different (p<0.001) between professional golfers and amateur golfers for extension and flexion at all of the speeds(60°/sec, 180°/sec, 240°/sec). And peak torque to body weight of right shoulder wasn"t significantly different (p<0.001) between professional golfers and amateur golfers for extension and flexion at all of the speeds(60°/sec, 180°/sec, 240°/sec). 2) Speed of golf driver shot was significantly different (p<0.001) between professional golfers and amateur golfers.
