This magazine that was the Korean-Japaneses"s Magazine ever published in Japan. This article will be concluded by summarizing this Magazine"s critical discussion and mentioning in the Poetry and Literature Criticism.
The Chosunmunje was a magazine that had prepared a corner stone for the literature of Koreans who lived in Japan since liberation. Poets like Nam-ki Hur, Soon Kang, and Shi-Woo Nam and critics including Dal-Soo Kim and Suk-Joo Lee acted for the magazine. In particular, they concentrated on an understanding of language of Koreans in Japan; thus, they aimed to create the identity of Korean authors in Japan.
The Poetry and Criticism of Hanyang unfolded engagement, by focusing the relationship between literature and reality, with the spirit of April Revolution. The purity insisted that true literature has an interval with reality, but it made an irony to do most politic literature by adjoining the conservatism of those days" politic power. Han-Yang think of the dualism of the purity as rhetoric with deception and falsehood, and emphasize that literature has a clear recognition to reality. The logic and property of engagement, which acquired the eye to see a reality as an objective situation, was an spirit of criticism which led Han-Yang with coherence.
The Samchunli was a magazine that revealed a positive and objective interest in the relationship between Korea and Japan, history of Chosun, culture of Chosun, and life of Koreans in Japan. Specifically, there was a critical introspection on the Korean literature in the magazine by dealing with Jee-Ha Kim’s literature. And we need to focus on poems of Shi-Jong Kim and Chul Lee.
The Chungku was a magazine that played a role of bridging generation with generation for securing the continuance of generations in the Korean society in Japan as a communication channel for the second and third generations of Koreans in Japan. Accordingly, it contained numerous articles and literary works that revealed an intensive interest in literature of Koreans in Japan.
