Middle East, Unlike most other region of the globe, is characterized by an Islamic State of Nature where war and conflicts are inevitable and endemic.
This study set out to address this perception through examining an example of Lebanese conflict by way of a variety of factors and conditions which have given rise to war and conflicts in Middle East and Islamic Society.
This Area has been conflict ridden since the Second World War, its history of confrontation and instability is arguably little different from war-torn western and Asia, or Latin America. It is also recalling that much of the genesis of conflicts in the region has arisen from the similar factors, such as the legacy of colonialism and superpower rivalry, as in other part of the globe.
Conflict in the region is and has been multi-faceted. Such conflicts including nationalism, religious difference, border problems, resources and intervention by outside powers pursuing strategic interest including access to the area"s economic riches-particularly oil.
Consequences of colonial ambitions are not forgotten in the region who still perceive Arthur Balfour and British as the architects of conflicts which continue to the present day. The Arms race in the region has also played its part in perpetuating conflicts in the cold era.
After 1990, the Gulf War, Islamic Fundamentalism appeals to the Muslim in the region as a new ideology. The concept of modern state from western, and intervention by the west are not accord with traditional Islamic principle. To protect their Islamic Society, Muslim takes dual devices, Islamic Jihad and peace process.
To address the conflicts in the Middle East and Islamic Society, more need to understanding Islam as a variation of conflict in the region should be followed.
