국문 초록

  지금까지 신제품 개발 팀의 효과성을 설명하기 위해 다양한 변수들이 고려되었지만, 창출된 지식을 구체적인 제품으로 형성화하는 신제품 개발을 설명하는데 다소 미흡하였다. 본 연구는 지식의 공유 및 결합과 관련된 새로운 개념인 팀 분산기억을 소개하고 이를 바탕으로 신제품 개발 팀의 효과성을 설명하고자 하였다. 아울러, 팀 분산기억 형성에 영향을 미치는 요인(팀 근속, 과업 상호의존성, 집단 응집력)과 팀 효과성(팀 성과, 팀 혁신행동, 팀 학습효과)과의 연관성을 실증적으로 분석해보았다.   실증연구를 위해 IT 업계 신제품 개발 팀을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 팀 근속, 과업 상호의존성과 집단 응집력이 모두 팀 분산기억에 정(+)적인 영향을 주는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 팀 분산기억은 팀 효과성의 세 차원인 팀성과, 팀 혁신행동 및 팀 학습효과에 영향을 주는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 마지막으로 연구결과가 갖는 관리적 시사점과 연구의 한계점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

  While the majority of team studies have focused on the effect of various factors such as group composition, task design and social interaction, knowledge creation related factors have not been explored as much to explain new product development teams effectiveness. Thus, this study figures out the new concept called transactive memory system. After reviewing the theoretical development of the concept, we identified antecedents that facilitate transactive memory system. And we conducted an empirical study to investigate the role of transactive memory system on team effectiveness.   A total of 121 new product development teams in the IT industry were surveyed for the data collection. The results of analysis can be summarized as follows: firstly, team tenure, task interdependence and group cohesion have a positive effect on transactive memory system. Secondly, transactive memory system has a positive influence on team performance, team innovative behavior and team learning effect.
