영문 초록

1. CONTENTS (1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES This study aims to investigate the construction trend of detached houses and the actual condition of the habitation in densely built.up areas. (2) RESEARCH METHOD This study carried out the questionnaire to residents living Toyonaka city in Osaka prefecture about evaluation of the outline of a residence, attribution of residents, resident environment, repair and the extension intention, and the settlement intention for derivation of the feature of the high density built-up area where renewal of an detached house is remarkable. (3) RESEARCH RESULTS Construction of new detached houses is expected to cause the improvement of an aging problem in the area, because the householders of such new houses are comparatively younger than that of existing old houses. Because of the resident's intention of settlement, it is important to form the relationship between new households and the neighborhood. However, it needs to examine qualities of these houses with narrow site and 3 stories for residents to continue to live in. 2. RESULTS The high density built-up area of the big city suburbs has various advantages such as the convenience of traffic, community activity, and the high satisfaction level for the neighboring relation. The housing environment improvement of such a high density built-up area should be made, and it should utilize as one solution over a big city concentration problem. 3.
