영문 초록

Seodong is recorded in Sam-guk-yu-sa. a history book of the three ancient kingdoms: Goguryeo, Baekje, and Silla written by Ilyeon. The hero of the story is King Mu, of Baekje. He was called Seodong when he was a child, which means a young boy who makes a living by gathering and selling yams. He was a son of a poor widow. He was married to a princess of Silla named Seonhwa. At that time, a song named Seodongyo spread all over the country. Later Seodong found gold in the mountain. Because of the gold, he became a king of Baekje. It is thought that the hero of the story is not King Mu, but King Mugang. King Mugang is a king of Geonmaguk, Mahan. It is thought that this story is about Seodong of Geonmaguk and Seonhwa of Saroguk. However, it is thought that the hero was wrongly perceived. This study is to present why the hero was mistakenly perceived and its evidence. Finally, when Ilyeon recorded the story of Seodong, he made a wrong record of the hero and his nationality.
