영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the inhabitant's opinions about the community mental health in Taegu-Kyungpuk area. The subjects were 186 inhabitants in Taegu-Kyungpuk, Choongpuk, Kangweon Do. Data were analyzed using the SAS and SPSSPC program for Frequencies and Facctor Analysis. The results are summarized as follows: 1) Most of the respondents agreed the severity of the mental healthy problems. 2) Mental illness, mental retardation, nervous disease, alcoholismn were ranked highly in order. 3) Most of all respondents wished that mental health center was established in the psychiatric hospital and psychiatric nurses must have major role conducting for community mental health, If the community mental health center is established in community health center, the expected major problems are the distance and traffic problems. 4) The opinions about the psychiatric hospital shows very negative results in the respect of therapy and humanity.
