국문 초록

Objectives: The Korean version of Perinatal Grief Scale (K-PGS) was developed, and its reliability and validity as an instrument for assessing perinatal grief in a Korean context were evaluated. Methods: Data from 335 women with experiences of miscarriage or stillbirth who sought psy\-chological counseling at the Korea Psychological Counselling Center for Fertility and Pregnancy were analyzed retrospectively. Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were conducted in Group 1 (n=158) and Group 2 (n=177), respectively. The reliability was assessed us\-ing the internal consistency coefficients, and the convergent validity was examined through corre\-lations with the measures of depression, anxiety, stress, and quality of life. Results: The three-factor structure consisting of 31 items was confirmed by exploratory factor analysis. Confirmatory factor analysis supported this structure with an acceptable model fit. The convergent validity was established through the significant positive correlations with depression and psychological distress, and significant negative correlations with well-being. Conclusion: The K-PGS is a reliable and valid scale for measuring perinatal grief.
