국문 초록
Korean film industry is on the downside. Film share of Korea retrieved by 'The chaser' is keeps coming down. Characters also hardly any have vital force. It is rarely that attracted audiences to the film remind and repeat gestures or words of characters in their minds. In a word, few characters remain these days.
Since appearance of multiplexes, screening' period is shorten as much as characters' coffin. Each film studios pursue marketing or being screen and neglect character and plot, so Korean films grow lose vital and competitive power.
Necessarily, making film is making character because audience watch movie through character' action and reaction. Spine of Character is comprised of motive, goal and action and Spine of Story is organized of setting-up, dramatic turning point and climax. Accordingly the staff must create and show definitely characters. Characters must have familiarity and originality, so show definitely these. The more audience understand, the more audience interest they become. A movie with one-dimensional characters have no depth to identify audience with them. In this case, as soon as audience go out of theater, they would forget the film. There is no hope that this film bring guarantee through word of mouth. Therefore various compositions and devises to gain sympathy of audience is studied various fields.
This paper was studied main characters in the well-made and hit films like , , , and etc. of the Korean films since appearance of multiplex through analysis of films, articles, treatises, papers and volumes. This paper is based on character realism and pursuit reality in films. And also this paper was wrote on purpose to contribute to product more the well-made films that steric characters gain sympathy of audience.
