국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 통합학교에 다니게 된 아이들이 겪게 된 삶을 내러티브 탐구를 활용하여 객관적으로 바라보고 그 의미를 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 세 명의 연구 참여자를 대상으로 관찰, 면담, 기타 문서자료 등의 방법으로 자료를 수집하고 그 결과를 분석하여, 다음과 같은 교육적 의미를 찾을 수 있었다. 첫째, 통합으로 인해 참여자들은 기존의 익숙했던 것들, 즉 친숙했던 이전 학교의 공간 구조, 통학방법, 학교교육계획에 따른 여러 가지 교육활동, 주간 계획, 일과시간 등으로 유·무형적인 요소가 혼합되어 있었으며, 그 종류 또한 다양했다. 둘째, 학급구성원이 늘어난 것은 단순히 물리적으로 그 수가 늘어난 것만을 의미하지 않으며, 많은 부분에서 학생들의 삶에 긍정적·부정적인 변화를 일으켰다. 참여자들은 학교생활에 즐거움을 느끼게 되었고 친구를 선택하고 사귈 수 있는 범위가 넓어졌다는 점에서 긍정적 변화를 경험했다. 이와는 반대로 성적이 떨어지고 생활의 질서가 무너졌으며 선생님들이 엄해지고 원치 않는 것을 억지로 받아들여야 한다는 점에서 부정적인 변화를 겪었다. 셋째, 참여자들은 시간이 흐름에 따라 차차 통합학교 생활에 대부분 적응했으나 질서와 규칙을 지키는 점에서는 아직도 부족함을 시인했다. 결국 통합학교 생활에 적응한다는 것은 학교의 모든 것을 자신에게 의미를 가진것으로 받아들인다는 것을 뜻하며, 또한 재미를 추구하며 살아갈 때의 변화를 받아 들이고 인식하는 일이다. The purpose of this inquiry was to objectively observe the lives of children that attend consolidated schools, and to delve into its significance. For this purpose, data was collected through methods such as observation, interviews, and collection of other document data, with three participants serving as research subjects. The results were analyzed. Through implementing narrative inquiry on the participants, organized based on this data, several educational points were discovered about their experience in the consolidated schools. First, through consolidation, the participants went through changes from their usual lives in the past. Their once familiar material and immaterial factors combined, including space structure, way of attending school, various educational activities according to the curriculum, and daily schedule, went through numerous types of changes. Second, the increase in the number of classmates means more than just the physical increase of numbers, but it generated numerous positive and negative changes in the lives of the students. Positive changes that the participants went through included the fact that they enjoyed school life and their range of friends to choose from expanded. In contrast, school grades plummeted, the orderly way of life crumbled, teachers became more strict, and the students were forced to accept things against their will. Third, the participants generally adjusted to their new lives over time, but they admitted that they were still not used to abiding by the rules or an orderly system. 'Adjusting' here means accepting all significant aspects of school, and also, in pursuit of enjoyment, it means accepting the changes that occur in their lives.
