국문 초록

본 연구는 노인의 관광경험이 여가만족과 삶의만족, 우울에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고 여가만족을 매개로 한 관계에서 차별경험의 조절효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2020년 노인실태조사 자료를 활용하였으며, SPSS와 PROCESS macro의 Model 59를 활용하여 조절된 매개효과를 분석하였다. 먼저, 관광경험은 삶의 만족과 우울에 유의한 직접적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 여가만족은 관광경험과 삶의 만족의 관계, 관광경험과 우울의 관계를 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 노인의 차별경험은 관광경험이 삶의 만족에 미치는 직접적 영향과 여가만족에 미치는 영향, 여가만족이 삶의 만족과 우울에 미치는 영향 모두를 조절하는 것으로 나타났으며, 여가만족을 통한 매개효과는 차별경험 여부에 따라 조절되는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 차별경험이 관광경험을 통해 경험할 수 있는 긍정적 영향을 저해하는 요인이 된다는 점을 의미한다. 본 연구는 노인이 여가 및 관광 참여를 통해 혜택을 경험함에 있어 차별경험의 부정적 영향을 밝혀냈다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of tourism experience on life satisfaction and depression focusing on the mediating effect of leisure satisfaction and the moderating role of discrimination experience in this relationship. The study utilized data from the 2020 National Survey of Older Koreans and conducted moderated mediation analysis using SPSS and the PROCESS macro's Model 59. The results demonstrated that tourism experience had direct and significant effects on both life satisfaction and depression. Also, the study found that leisure satisfaction mediated the relationship between tourism experience and life satisfaction and that between tourism experience and depression. Moreover, discrimination experience was identified as a moderator influencing the effects of tourism experience on life satisfaction and leisure satisfaction as well as the effects of leisure satisfaction on life satisfaction and depression. Discrimination experience also moderated the mediating effects of leisure satisfaction on the relationships between tourism experience and both life satisfaction and depression. These findings emphasize the detrimental impact of discrimination as a barrier to the positive effects of tourism experiences. The study contributes to our understanding of the negative consequences of discrimination on older adults' pursuit of leisure and tourism benefits.
