학령기 아동의 학교에서의 감각처리 능력과 주의력 결핍·과잉행동의 상관성 연구

국문 초록

목적 : 본 연구에서는 국내에서 개발된 학교용 감각처리 평가도구를 이용하여 교사를 통해서 학령기 아동의 감각처리 능력과 주의력 결핍 과잉행동의 상관관계를 알아보고자 한다. 연구방법 : 본 연구의 설계는 감각처리 능력과 주의력 결핍·과잉행동의 두 변인에 대한 상관성 분석연구이다. 연구 대상은 일반 초등학교에 1학년에서 6학년 재학 중인 294명을 대상으로 하였고, 그 중 일반 아동 206명, 주의력 결핍·과잉행동 의심 아동 88명이었다. 아동의 담임교사가 아동에 대한 국내 감각처리 평가도구와 한국어판 교사용 ADHD 평가 척도를 설문하였다. 그에 대한 설문 결과를 Pearson 상관분석을 실시하여 상관성을 알아보았다. 결과 : 본 연구의 결과는 국내의 학교용 감각처리 평가도구의 총점과 K-ARS의 총점의 상관계수가 .88(p<.01)로 통계학적으로 유의미한 상관관계를 보였으며, 하위 영역 간 상관계수 역시 .206∼.904(p<.01)의 범주로 통계학적으로 유의미한 상관관계를 보였다. 결론 : 일반 학교의 아동에게 보편적으로 관찰되는 주의력 결핍과 과잉행동의 어려움을 감각처리의 측면에서 살펴보고 그에 대한 평가의 중요성을 시사하였다는 점에서 본 연구는 중요한 가치가 있다고 판단된다.

영문 초록

Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate the correlation between sensory processing ability and attention deficit hyperactivity of school-age children through teachers using the sensory processing evaluation tool developed in Korea. Methods : The design of this study is a correlation analysis study on two variables: sensory processing ability and attention deficit/hyperactivity. The subjects of this study were 294 students in grades 1 to 6 of general elementary schools, among which 206 general children and 88 children suspected of attention deficit/hyperactivity. The child s homeroom teacher surveyed the child s sensory processing evaluation tool and the Korean version of the ADHD evaluation scale for teachers. Pearson correlation analysis was conducted on the results of the questionnaire to find out the correlation. Results : As a result of this study, the correlation coefficient between the total score of the sensory processing evaluation tool for schools in Korea and the total score of the K-ARS was .88 (p<.01), showing a statistically significant correlation, and the correlation coefficient between sub-domains was also. 206 ∼.904 (p<.01) showed a statistically significant correlation. Conclusion : This study is judged to be of significant value in that it examined the difficulties of attention deficit and hyperactivity, which are commonly observed in general school children, in terms of sensory processing, and suggested the importance of evaluation.
