노인학대 위험요인과 개념구조

국문 초록

본 연구는 노인학대의 위험요인들을 질적 연구방법을 통해 파악하여 개념구조를 밝히고자 하였다. 자료수집은 노인학대 77개 사례기록에서 학대 정황이라고 여겨지는 모든 요소들을 Colaizzi의 현상학적 방법에 입각하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 76개의 주제와 19개의 주제모음, 그리고 3개의 범주를 도출하였다. 3개의 범주는‘안정성’,‘ 강압성’,‘ 취약성’이며, 각 범주간의 공통적인 요소를 통합한 본질적 구조는‘3요인의 악순환’이었다. 즉, 노인학대 발생 및 안전의 위협이라는 사건 전후로 학대피해노인의 취약한 개인 및 환경 조건들이 존재하였고, 세 가지 범주는 인과관계가 아닌 상호 영향을 주는 유기체적 악순환 구조를 가지고 있었다. 본 연구는 노인학대 발생 전, 후의 여러 정황들을 포괄적이고 심도 있게 살펴보아 위험요인을 추출함으로 학대사례의 사정을 신속하고 일관성 있게 판단 할 근거를 마련하는데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study are to analyse and to systematize the elder abuse risk indicators and concepts structure in Korea. Using Colaizz, one of phenomenological research methods, 77 elder abuse cases were analysed, and the data was classified 76 themes, 19 theme clusters, and 3 categories. Three categories were safety , intimidation , and ‘vulnerability . Also, the essential structure was the vicious circle between three categories . Before and after the emotional, physical, financial and sexual abuse was occurred, victims of elder abuse had the personal vulnerabilities and they were in the vulnerable circumstances. Indeed, there were not the causal relationship between three categories, but the vicious cycle of mutual influence. The findings of this study have following implications. First, this study shows the risk indicators which can consider the various contexts before and after elder abuse accidents. Also, based on the results of this study, the efficient and valid screening tool using at intake stage can be suggested. Lastly, the strategies to protect and escape from the abuse can be presented.
