국문 초록

이 연구는 장애여성 중에서도 지체장애를 가지고 자녀를 양육하고 있는 기혼장애여성들의 취업에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고, 취업활동을 지원할 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 이러한목적을 달성하기 위하여 자녀를 양육하고 있는 지체장애여성 349명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 조사대상자의 28.7%만이 취업활동에 참여하고 있는 것으로 나타나 지체장애여성들의 취업률이 낮음을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 조사대상자들이 장애에 대한 지각정도가 긍정적일수록, 이동시 필요한 도움정도가 적을수록, 자아존중감이 높을수록, 남편의 협력과 주위의 도움정도가 많을수록 취업을 한 장애여성의 비율이 높았다. 셋째, 자녀를 양육하고 있는 지체장애여성의 취업결정요인으로 가족 월평균 수입, 남편 장애 유무, 장애등급, 장애원인, 자아존중감, 주위의 도움정도가 통계적으로 유의미하게 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 장애여성들의 취업활동을 지원하기 위한 몇 가지 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims at seeking alternatives to assist in employment activities of women with disabilities by understanding factors which have effects on entry into the labor market and job retention of women with physical disabilities who are bringing up their children. In order to achieve this purpose, a survey was conducted with 349 women with physical disabilities who are rearing their children, and its results are as follows: Firstly, it was found that only 28.7% of survey subjects were engaged in employment activities, which indicates that the employment rate of women with physical disabilities is low. Secondly, the more positive the level of recognition of disabilities the subjects was, the less the level of help was, which is needed when they were moving, the higher they self-esteem was, and the more the level of their husbands cooperation and help from others around them was, the higher the percentage of women with physical disabilities employed was. Thirdly, as employment decision factors of women with physical disabilities who were rearing children, the average monthly income of households, status of husbands disabilities, disability rating, disability reasons, self-esteem, and assistance from others around them were statistically significant as the study founds. Based on these findings, some suggestions were provided to assist in employment activities of women with disabilities.
