국문 초록

본 연구는 여성폭력 통합상담소 종사자의 스트레스나 대리외상 등 문제 중심적 접근을 확장하여 종사자들이 피해자 지원 과정에서 경험하는 대리외상 후 성장과 영향 요인을 실증적으로 파악하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 대상은 전국 여성폭력 통합상담소 54개소에 근무하는 종사자 108명이며, 온라인 설문조사를 통해 수집된 자료를 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 여성폭력 통합상담소 종사자들은 중간 이상의 대리외상 후 성장을 경험하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 종사자의 대리외상 후 성장에 대한 영향 요인으로 개인적 차원에서는 대리 외상과 폭력피해 지원시설 근무 경력이, 조직적 차원에서는 동료 및 상사 지지가 주요 예측 변인으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 여성폭력 통합상담소 종사자의 대리외상 후 성장을 촉진하기 위한 다차원적 개입의 필요성과 더불어, 여성폭력 통합상담소 종사자를 위한 실천적, 정책적 함의를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the vicarious post-traumatic growth experienced by workers who support victims at integrated counseling centers for gender-based violence. This study aimed to broaden the conventional focus on workers’ stress and trauma by exploring their potential positive psychological changes resulting from their work with victims. A total of 108 workers from 54 integrated counseling centers participated in an online survey, and the collected data were analyzed using hierarchical multiple regression analysis. The results showed that workers at these centers experienced a relatively high level of vicarious post-traumatic growth. At the individual level, vicarious trauma and work experience in victim support facilities were significant predictors, while at the organizational level, support from colleagues and supervisors played a major role. These findings highlight the importance of both personal and organizational factors in fostering vicarious post-traumatic growth and suggest practical and policy implications for developing multidimensional interventions to enhance the well-being and resilience of workers in counseling centers for victims of gender-based violence.
