국문 초록

본 연구는 모래놀이치료 장면에서 fNIRS(functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy)를 사용하여 불안 애착 유형의 치료자와 두 가지 애착유형을 가진 내담자의 대뇌 혈류 산소포화도(HbO₂)의 동시화 양상을 측정 하였다. 이를 위해 사전 애착유형 검사 결과에 따라 치료자-내담자를 불안-불안, 불안-회피 유형의 쌍으로 구분하였다. 2회기의 모래놀이치료를 실시하였고 ‘모래놀이 장면 만들기’ 조건과 ‘완성된 모래놀이 장면에 대한 이야기 나누기’ 조건으로 나누어 매 회기 뇌 혈류 산소 포화도의 동시화 양상을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 불안-불안 애착 유형 쌍은 이야기 나누기 조건에서 더 높은 동시화가 나타났으며, 불안-회피 애착 유형의 쌍은 과제에 따라 치료자나 내담자의 대뇌 혈류 산소 포화도의 활성이 선행 또는 후행 반응으로 나타나 상대방이 따라가는 혼재된 시차 구조가 있긴 하였으나 동시화 반응이 있었다. 이러한 결과는 모래놀이치료에서 치료자가 안정애착 유형이 아니더라도 최소한 불안 및 회피 애착 내담자와 성공적인 공감적 상호작용을 할 수 있음을 보여주는 것이라고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study measured the synchronization patterns of cerebral blood oxygen saturation (HbO2) in Sandplay therapy sessions using functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS), focusing on a therapist with anxious attachment and clients with two different attachment types. Based on pre-assessment results of attachment styles, therapist-client pairs were divided into anxious-anxious and anxious-avoidant groups. Two sessions of sandplay therapy were conducted, each consisting of two conditions: “creation of a sandpicture” and “discussion of the completed sandpicture.” An analysis was conducted on the synchronization patterns of cerebral blood oxygen saturation in each therapy session. The analysis revealed that anxious-anxious pairs showed higher synchronization during the discussion condition. For anxious-avoidant pairs, activation of cerebral blood oxygen saturation appeared as either leading or lagging responses by the therapist or client depending on the task, resulting in mixed lag structures; nevertheless, synchronization responses were present. These findings suggest that in Sandplay therapy, therapists do not necessarily need to have a secure attachment style to achieve successful empathic interactions with clients of anxious or avoidant attachment.
