영문 초록

Woody Allen pioneered the expansion of Comedy genre and era of genre blending. Woody Allen absorbs classic films into his films. There are a few his auteur signature in the film. Firstly there is a trace of influence by European films rather than American film. Secondly he chooses intertextuality as a cinematic quotation of auteur or work. Thirdly there are typical characters, the woman who is fun but gets a man into trouble and the man who is weak and gauche in the living environment. Fourthly he shows his support on humanism and rejection of fascism. Fifthly it is answer to finitude and artistic relationship between fantasy and reality. The last is dynamic camera movement. There are various keys to study on a text of an auteur. Woody Allen is the auteur who put up comedy strategy and intertextuality as a gate for a text. For his best-known film , his comedy strategies are overturn of expectation, repetition and the use of idiotic character. When it comes to overturn of expectation, it provokes a laugh by overturning the expectation of audience at last resolution. This laugh is close to resolution theory which loosens the tension of audience. Woody Allen’s text also aims at conciliatory laugh rather than aggressive laugh. His reconciliation-oriented comedy is proper to public fancy than social commentary. Woody Allen’s text shows the tendency of intertextuality expanded by modification and quotation of existing films and also adds a parody for laugh. Woody Allen’s parody aims to create the meaning and laugh through direct quotation and relocation of existing text. Cinematic quotation strategy bring parody to the fore and relativeness with s is utilization of ‘expanded intertextuality’. This helps him to maximize the comedy and show his admiration to existing films and preach his philosophy about love and death and also carry out an ideological attack on anti-Semitism and fascism. , One of his best-known films, showed festival of intertextuality as a lot of texts formed the mosaic. Originality of Woody Allen’s text is that it supports to intensify the message or provoke the laugh by accepting the text rather than expanded intertextuality itself. The way of accepting the text results in intensifying the comedy by parody at first and creative modification for the theme and intensifying the message in the second place. The intension of comedy by parody utilizes ‘parodiable attraction montage’ actively. Both Woody Allen’s Comedy strategy and intertextuality aim to provoke more laughs from audience.
