영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to provide a pragmatic account of the notion of presupposition, and to claim that the presupposition phenomenon should be explained in terms of this pragmatic notion. This means that the presupposition phenomenon cannot be explained only in terms of the meaning or content of sentences, but must be explained additionally in terms of facts about the beliefs, intentions and expectations of the speaker.
