Analysis of research trends on the usefulness of smart learning in terms of self-directed and self-regulated learning

국문 초록

최근 국내에서 스마트 러닝의 유용성에 관한 다수의 연구가 진행되어 왔으며, 연구의 핵심 키워드로 자기주도(self-direction)와 자기조절(self-regulation)이라는 개념이 도입되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 스마트 러닝의 유용성과 관련하여 자기주도와 자기조절이라는 개념 도입의 차이점 및 혹시 모를 개념 도입의 혼란은 없는지를 확인할 필요가 있다는 판단을 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 문헌 연구를 통해 자기주도 학습과 자기조절 학습의 차이를 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 지난 10년 간(2009 ~ 2019) 국내에서 수행된 스마트 러닝의 유용성에 관한 연구 중에서 SDL(Self-Directed Learning)과 SRL(Self-Relational Learning)을 강조한 연구들을 조사하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 자기주도와 자기조절의 개념과 학습원리가 명확하지 않았으며, 향후에는 명확한 개념에 기반한 스마트 러닝 프레임 워크 개발이 필요하다는 판단을 하였다. 둘째, 스마트 러닝과 관련된 이론적 배경을 연구하고 기반을 다질 필요가 있다는 시사점이 도출되었다. 셋째, 자기주도 및 자기조절 학습 관점에서 스마트 러닝을 도입했을 경우 평가는 어떻게 수행할 것인가에 대한 연구도 부족한 상황이라는 것을 발견할 수 있었다. 넷째, 자기주도 및 자기조절 학습 관점에서 도입된 스마트 러닝의 효과가 어떻게 측정되고 확인될 수 있는지에 대한 연구도 필요하다는 판단을 하였다. 본 연구는 이상의 결과 및 시사점을 바탕으로 스마트 러닝과 관련된 연구 아젠다 형성 및 후속 연구를 위한 제안을 하고자 하였다.

영문 초록

Recently, a number of studies related to the usefulness of smart learning have been conducted in Korea, and the concepts of self-direction (SD) and self-regulation (SR) have been introduced as key keywords in the study. On the other hand, in relation to the usefulness of smart learning, it is necessary to check whether there are any differences in the concept of self-direction and self-regulation and whether there is any confusion about the concept introduction. First, this study aimed to confirm the difference between self-directed learning and self-regulated learning through literature research. Second, among the studies related to the usefulness of smart learning conducted in Korea in the last 10 years (2009~2019), this study examined the trends of studies that emphasized self-directed learning (SDL) and self-regulated learning (SRL). As a result of the research, first, it was necessary to develop a smart learning framework that clearly reflected the concepts of self-direction and self-regulation and learning principles. Second, it was necessary to study the theoretical background related to smart learning and lay the foundation. Third, in the case of introducing smart learning in terms of self-directed and self-regulated learning, it was necessary to study how to perform evaluation. Lastly, it was also necessary to study how the effects of smart learning introduced from the perspective of self-directed and self-regulated learning can be measured and confirmed.
