영문 초록

This study was conducted to survey the epidemiological characteristics of Pullorum Disease(PD) outbreaks during the 16 years in Korea since 2001. Based on the diagnostic data of domestic fowl diseases, a total of 38 cases of PD were reported on the KAHIS system by APQA(Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency). Based on the statistic data, PD in domestic fowl had already been spreaded in nationwide scale since 2001 and was especially found as the explosively increasing cases during the three years since 2013. In 2010, the law related PD was also revised retrogressively at the same level of FT(Fowl Typhoid). Even though the revision of the law, the highest outbreak cases(10 cases) among the 16 years were found especially in 2015. And the Kyung-gi province was found as the most prevalent and dangerous one depending on the regional analysis data and also must need to practice the most strict surveillance and elimination procedures of infected and carrier birds for the successful and provable PD prevention and eradication program. The present study suggested that the new animal diseases prevention and control law revised in 2010 must be revised again based on the more cautious and scientific bases as soon as possible.
