영문 초록

This study analyzes the change of competitiveness of Korean shipping companies during these five years in terms of technological efficiency(TE). A stochastic frontier function is adopted for estimating the TE. The average TE of Korean shipping companies is about 0.68 from 2009 to 2013. Also it was founded that the TE is affected by size, age, total debts, and net income of the company. This paper has implications for Korean shipping companies. The results of this study can be helpful develop strategy of strengthen competitiveness of the company.
