영문 초록

Background : This study is designed to evaluate the effect of ageing on postural sway and limb load asymmetry(LLA) during quiet stance in normal adult. Method : Two hundred and eighty eight healthy subjects(140 males and 148 females whose age was 50.2 ± 13.8 years-old) volunteered. Subjects was divided into 6 age group whose gender ratio showed relatively even distribution. Postural sway and body weight distribution were recorded while the subject was standing on two adjacent force platforms(Medianceⓡ; Human-Tech Inc, Korea) during 120s trial. All subjects chose a comfortable stance with feet apart, slightly turned out, and asked to look straight ahead at a fixed point in a quiet room. Results : The result indicate that postural sway and LLA were significantly associated with ageing. But postural sway and LLA were not associated with each other. Conclusion : Postural sway and LLA were related with the ageing process. And the evaluation of postural sway and LLA will be necessary in old age group for the prevention of fall.
