People who came to study or travel here wanted to immigrate to this country...
The people who were there said, “‘ The Australia dream’, not ‘The America dream’.”

One black dog approached us and I thought that dog was searching whether to see if we have drugs or not. I got this idea from those search dogs on TV programs.
That dog however, didn't leave from one of our bags. I naturally became nervous because of his action. He certainly smelled something from one of bags.
My mother and I wondered in our heads, ‘we don't have any drug but why doesn’t that dog leave our bags?’



When we became more nervous, the customs officer soon took our bags to one of the tables in the corner. We were a bit puzzled at that moment. It was almost a scary moment at the beginning. The customs officer asked me something by pointing at a sentence on a piece of paper. I said, “No” to his question. The sentence asked if I had any grain or fruits that I brought to Australia.

My mother and I decided to give the bags and pants that we don’t use any more to the smiling roommate. We knocked on his room and gave them to him.
"Wow, it is for me? This bag is really nice." He screamed with happiness!
He showed big smile when he accepted our gifts and in return we felt really good. We thought at that moment that if people feel this good about giving something to a person who smiles and appreciates the gifts given, then God would feel same way, too.

Joy Park obtained an interpreter license and took the first steps to start working with ‘Embassy of India’ in Korea. After being an instructor of ‘Incheon’ University, she immigrated to the US to teach English to students and worked on interpretation for 10 years. In addition to English, she can speak Korean, Japanese, Spanish, Chinese, American Sign Language, etc. She wrote this book hoping people will experience the power of love and the moments that lead to happiness in life. She is also the author of “No flower blooms alone.” and “Joy Met China”.
