저자(글) Mulgil Kim

Mulgil Kim is an artist who loves to travel and communicates through artworks. When she was 24 years old, she started a project called “Art Road,” which was about drawing things that you see and feel. She completed over 400 pieces of drawings traveling 46 countries in 5 continents for 673 days from the year 2011 to 2013. Based on the drawings from the trips, she published an essay called “Art Road.” She continued the drawing work traveling in Korea under the project name “Korea’s Art Road,” and in 2016, she published “Art Road, the Story of Korea.” She had many exhibitions and was on media such as radio and podcast. She has done many lectures and made many appearances on TV. She is currently working as a travel writer.

Jamie Wright was born in 1975 in Seoul. After she graduated from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, CA, in 2002, she held in-house linguist positions at the Bank of Korea, Kookmin Bank, and the United Nations Command Military Armistice Commission. Since she moved to the United States in 2006, she was certified by the Department of State's Office of Language Services as an independent conference-level interpreter and has been on a number of assignments, including Presidential visits and meetings with North Koreans in Pyongyang.

Mina Kim was born in 1984 in South Korea. She graduated from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, majoring in Translation and Interpretation and continued her study at Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey in California with an MA in Conference Interpretation. She has worked on a number of translation projects from technical manuals, retail ads, websites, to TV show subtitles. She is currently living in New York, working as a language group manager at a global localization and translation company.

Keith Kim currently owns and operates a travel media site, Seoulistic.com. He has over ten years of experience in producing, editing and marketing online content. His expertise is in online marketing with particular focus on search engine optimization (SEO), viral content and social media marketing. His previous positions include Communication Specialist at the Korean National Commission for UNESCO, presenter at Arirang TV, and Director of Operations at Innovative Language, the parent company of KoreanClass101.com.

Hyerim Park has worked as a professional translator and interpreter after she earned her master’s degree in Translation at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, CA, in 2007. Upon graduation, she immediately started her career as a professional in-house interpreter and translator at the Seoul Metropolitan Government. And she moved to the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics Bid Committee and contributed to Pyeongchang’s bidding efforts. After winning the bid, she left the committee to expand her horizons by exploring other areas. Based on expertise culminated over several years, she established her company, “Eunoia”, a Seoul-based e-book publishing house that also offers English-Korean translation and interpretation service, as well as customized English education service for companies running global businesses.
