국문 초록

본 연구는 생활 속에서 일상적으로 사용하는 사진이 미술관 관람을 돕는 도구로자리 잡고 있다는 점에 착안하여 출발하였다. 이에 따라 미술관 청소년 관람객의작품 감상 과정에서 사진 촬영이 어떤 의미를 갖는지 탐색하는 데에 연구의 목적을두었다. 이를 위해 연구자는 참여 관찰을 통해 청소년들의 전시 감상 과정을 살펴보았으며, 전시 관람 이후 심층 인터뷰를 진행하고, 연구 참여자들이 작성한 감상과정에 대한 서술 자료를 수집하여 내러티브 탐구를 수행하였다. 연구 결과, 청소년관람객은 미술관 작품 감상 과정에서 자신만의 사진 프레임을 구성해 나가는 과정속에서 개인적인 맥락을 반영하여 작품의 의미를 형성해 나가는 모습을 관찰할 수있었다. 또한, 그 과정 안에서 스스로 선택권을 가지는 작품 감상의 주체로 자리함을확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 발견은 미술관에서 사진이 청소년 관람객의 개인적인맥락을 반영하는 도구로 활용될 수 있음을 시사한다. 즉, 사진은 미술관 작품 감상과정에서 단순한 기록 수단뿐만 아니라, 감상 경험을 확장하는 적극적인 매개체로바라볼 수 있는 가능성을 제시한다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study originates from the recognition that photography, which is commonly used in everyday life, has become an integral tool for museum visits. Accordingly, the study aims to explore the significance of photography in the process of artwork appreciation among adolescent museum visitors. To achieve this, the researcher conducted participant observation to examine how adolescents engage with exhibitions, followed by in-depth interviews after their visits. Additionally, narrative inquiry was performed by collecting written reflections from participants about their appreciation experiences. The findings reveal that adolescent visitors construct their own photographic frames during the appreciation process, incorporating personal contexts to shape the meaning of artworks. Furthermore, this process allows them to establish themselves as active agents in their appreciation experiences by exercising their own choices. These findings suggest that photography can serve as a tool for reflecting the personal contexts of adolescent museum visitors. In other words, photography in museum art appreciation is not merely a means of recording artworks but also a dynamic medium that expands appreciation experiences.
