With the arrival of the 21st century, the wave of globalization and information technology has swept all walks of life, and the field of higher education has also been deeply affected. College students' ideological and political education, as an important link to train the builders and successors of socialism, is facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities. On the one hand, economic globalization brings about the diversification of values, and the ideas of college students show a diversified trend; On the other hand, the development of information network provides new resources and means for ideological and political education, but it also increases the complexity and difficulty of education. Under this background, the innovation of ideological and political education mode of college students is particularly urgent. Based on this background of The Times and guided by the theory of management by objectives, this study explores the innovation of ideological and political education models for college students that meet the needs of the new era, aiming to provide theoretical support and practical reference for improving the quality of education and training well-developed talents. Through the analysis of specific cases, this paper puts forward a targeted innovation path and education strategy.
