대학생의 학사경고에 관한 원인 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학생의 학사경고에 관한 원인을 탐색하기 위한 목적으로 진행되었다. 이를 위해 부산광역시의 P국립대학 재학생 중 학사경고 경험이 있는 218명의 학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 학사경고 경험 2회 이상이 있는 학생 9명을 대상으로 심층 인터뷰를 실시하여 연구결과를 도출하였다. 설문조사 결과에서는 학사경고의 주요 원인으로 학습동기부족, 심리적요인, 학습전략, 전공불일치, 기초지식 부족이 나타났으며 심층 인터뷰 결과에서는 학사경고의 주요 원인으로 전공불일치로 인한 학습동기 저하, 치열한 입시준비로 인한 심리적 소진, 낮은 자신감과 열등감으로 인한 학업포기, 대인관계의 어려움으로 인한 학습 무기력으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 시사점과 추후연구에서의 제안점이 논의되었다.

영문 초록

The study was conducted with the aim of exploring causes of academic probations for university students. To this end, a survey was conducted on 218 students who had experience with academic probations in P University in Busan, and in-depth interviews were conducted on nine students with more than two academic probations through mixed method research. According to the survey, the main causes for academic probations were lack of academic motivation, psychological factors, absence of learning strategy, mismatch in major field, and lack of basic knowledge. Results of In-depth interviews revealed poor academic motivation due to mismatch in major field, psychological exhaustion due to intense preparation for entrance exam, abandonment of study due to low self-confidence for study and inferiority complex, and learning helplessness due to difficulties in interpersonal relationship. Based on the results, this article discusses considerations and recommendations for follow-on studies.
