국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학생들의 통일에 대한 관심과 흥미가 급격히 줄어드는 현 상황에서 사회적 관점 취득(SPT)이라는 교수·학습을 통한 통일교육의 가능성을 탐색하는 것이다. 기존의 통일교육은 교육과정과 내용의 문제, 교수·학습 방법의 문제, 일선 학교와 교사들의 문제가 발견되는데, 사회적 관점 취득(SPT)을 통한 통일교육은 인지적이며 정의적인 측면에서 균형을 이루는 교수·학습 방법으로서 학교 통일교육을 개선하는 데 도움이 될 것이다. 그리고 초등학교 통일교육의 경우 도덕, 국어, 사회 교과뿐만 아니라 여러 예체능 교과에서도 중복된다는 점에서 다학문적 통합단원 설계를 통해서 실시되는 것이 바람직하다. 이에 본 연구는 통일교육에서 사회적 관점 취득(SPT)의 교육적 가치를 살펴보았으며, 다학문적 설계로 구성된 통합단원에 사회적 관점 취득(SPT)을 적용하였다. 이를 통해 학교 현장에서 더 발전된 통일교육을 실현하고자 하며, 학생들의 통일에 대한 관심, 의지, 흥미를 증진시키고자 한다.

영문 초록

This study explored the possibility of unification education through teaching and learning, which applies the social perspective taking, in the current situation where elementary school students interest in unification seems to decrease. Unification education through social perspective taking is a methodological approach of teaching and learning that balances cognitive and emotional aspects, in which the cognitive side implies role-taking, and the emotional side implies empathy. In the case of elementary school unification education, the content is overlapped not only in the moral, social and Korean subjects, but also in the music, art, and physical education subjects. Therefore, unification education is conducted through several subjects, but effective unification education is not provided due to the lack of a firm goal and content system. So this study explores unification education composed of multidisciplinary unit. Unification education applying social perspective taking is expected to expand knowledge related to unification in cognitive terms, increase interest in North Korea and North Koreans in emotional terms, and encourage student to act later on as a leading citizen in unification process in behavioral terms. In the future, further empirical research is needed to apply social perspective taking to other subjects.
