국문 초록

영유아 사교육에 대한 관심과 사교육 시장의 규모가 커지면서 2000년대 이후 관련 연구가 지속해서 증가하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 영유아 사교육 연구의 동향을 파악하여 이 분야의 연구성과를 점검하고 향후 연구 방향을 제시하는 데 있다. 분석 대상은 2001년에서 2018년까지 발행된 영유아 사교육 학위논문과 학술지 총 129편이었다. 연도별로 발행 편수, 연구대상, 연구내용, 연구방법의 동향을 분석하기 위해 빈도 분석과 이동 평균 분석을 사용하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연도별 편수의 동향 분석 결과, 영유아 사교육 연구는 2001년부터 연구가 증가하기 시작하여 2009년경 정점에 이르렀고, 이후 2015년까지 감소했다가 최근 다시 증가하고 있다. 둘째, 연구대상별 동향 분석 결과, 부모 대상의 연구가 과반수로 가장 많았고, 다음으로 교원, 영유아 및 아동, 기타 순으로 많은 비율을 차지하였다. 셋째, 연구내용별 동향 분석 결과, 영유아 사교육 연구 초기에는 인식 및 실태 연구가 많았으나 후기로 갈수록 영유아 사교육 실태, 인식, 영향 및 효과, 참여요인 연구가 비교적 고르게 분포되었다. 넷째, 연구방법별 동향 분석 결과, 조사연구 방법이 대다수를 차지하였다. 이상 연구동향 분석 결과에 나타난 특성과 그 원인, 그리고 향후 연구 방향을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

As interest in private education for early childhood and the size of the private education market grew, related research has continued to increase since the 2000s. The purpose of this study is to identify trends in the research on private education for early childhood, to examine the research results in this field, and to suggest future research directions. The subjects of analysis were a total of 129 academic journals and theses published in 2001-2018. Frequency analysis and moving average analysis were used to analyze the number of papers, research subject, research content, and research method by year. The research findings are as follows. First, according to the analysis of trends in research volume, the study on private education for early childhood began to increase in 2001 and peaked around 2009, and has since declined until 2015 before increasing again recently. Second, according to the analysis of trends by study subject, the majority of the research was done on parents, followed by teachers, early childhood and children, and the others. Third, according to the analysis of trends by research content, the majority of studies were on perception and actual condition at the beginning of the period studied, but later on, studies were evenly distributed among perception, current status, influence & effect, and participation factor. Fourth, according to the analysis of trends by research method, survey studies accounted for the majority. The characteristics and causes of the above research trends, and the future direction of the research were discussed.
