초등학교 학부모와 학생의 수학학습관여행위 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 우리나라 초등학교 학부모와 학생의 수학 학습 관여 행위의 특성과 관계를 분석하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 경기도 지역에 있는 초등학교 두 군데의 3,4,5학년 학생과 학부모 196쌍(총 392명)을 편의 표집하였으며 2014년 4월 30일에서 5월 13일까지 진행하였다. 연구 결과, 초등학교 학부모와 초등학생의 수학 학습 관여 행위가 직접지도, 관리와 대화, 학습 방법 연구, 체험 학습 조성, 격려와 신뢰 등 5가지로 유형화되었고, 학부모와 자녀 간에 수학 학습 관여 행위에 대한 인식에 차이점이 발견되었다. 본 연구는 수학 학습 관여 행위의 유형과 관계를 학부모와 자녀 양쪽에 대해 분석하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 연구결과를 토대로 우리나라 초등학교에서 진행하는 교육 프로그램이 학부모를 대상으로 수학 학습 관여 행위를 포함하여 구체화되어 확대될 필요성이 있음을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to analyze the characteristics and relationships of elementary school parents’ and students mathematics learning involvement. The study was conducted from April 30 to May 13, 2014 with 196 pairs of third-, fourth- and fifth-grade students and parents from two elementary schools in Gyeonggi-do. According to the research, mathematics learning involvement of elementary school parents and elementary school students were categorized into five categories: direct instruction, management and communication, research on learning methods, experiential learning environment, encouragement and trust. Parents and their children wanted different types of mathematics learning involvement, especially students wanted to create an experiential learning environment, but parents lacked awareness. This study is meaningful in that it analyzed both parents and children s relationships with the types of mathematics learning involvement. Based on the research results, we suggested that the educational programs in elementary schools in Korea need to be concretely expanded to include parents involvement in mathematics learning.
