국문 초록

본 연구는 사범대학, 교직과정이수자, 교육대학생원생들은 대상으로 중등교원 양성과정의 교직과목에 대한 인식을 실증적으로 분석하는데 목적을 두고 전남 및 경북지역의 예비중등교사 311명을 연구대상으로 선정하여 2019년 6월 10일부터 6월 14일 까지 1주 간에 걸쳐 설문조사를 수행하였다. 수집된 설문 자료는 SPSS 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였고, 다음과 같은 연구결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 중등예비교사들은 교직생활을 수행함에 있어 교직과목이 필요하고 교직과목을 교사로서의 자질 함양 을 위한 교과목으로 인식하였지만 교직과목의 구성 및 운영에 대한 만족도는 보통정도 수준이었다. 교직과목의 구성 및 운영에 있어 임용 시험과의 연계 부족, 실습준비 및 실행 시 대학의 지원 부족을 높게 인식하였다. 둘째, 예비중등교사들은 임용 시험에 도움이 되는 수업, 학교현장에 유용한 수업, 적성과 소질을 계발할 수 있는수업을 선호하였고, 이를 관련된 교수법을 기대하였다. 또한 중등교원으로 필요한 수업전문성, 의사소통, 자기주도적학습, 문제해결능력 등의 핵심역량을 강화하기 위 해 체계적인 커리큘럼 마련, 실습기회 확대를 요구하였다. 본 연구결과를 중심으로 교직과목의 기대와 요구도를 논의하고 향후 개선되어야 할 시사점을 도출하였다.

영문 초록

The objective of this study is to empirically analyze the actual operating state, perception, and needs of teaching subjects for secondary school teachers targeting the College of Education, graduates of pre-service teacher training course, and graduate students of education. This study conducted a survey targeting total 311 pre-service secondary school teachers in Jeonnam and Gyeongbuk regions for a week from June 10th to June 14th 2019. The collected survey data was analyzed by using the SPSS Program, and the results of this study were drawn as follows. First, the pre-service secondary school teachers perceived the necessity of teaching subjects for the performance of teaching profession as the subjects for the cultivation of teacher’s qualifications while the satisfaction with the composition/operation of teaching subjects was the average level. Regarding the composition/operation of teaching subjects, they highly perceived the lack of connection with the teacher certification examination and lack of support from university in case when preparing/carrying out the practice. Second, the pre-service secondary school teachers preferred the courses that would be helpful for the teacher certification examination, useful for school field, and could develop their aptitude and talent, and they expected the teaching methods related to them. Also, in order to strengthen the core competencies such as teaching professionalism, communication, self-directed learning, and problem-solving ability, they asked for the establishment of systematic curriculum and the expansion of opportunities for practice. Focusing on such results, this study discussed the expectation and needs of teaching subjects and then drew the implications for the future improvement.
