뇌졸중 환자들의 성재활 실태조사

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 재활병원에 입원해 있는 기혼 뇌졸중 환자들의 성 생활 및 성 생활 만족도에 대해 조사하고, 성 재활 교육의 필요성에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 연구를 위한 이론적 고찰에서는 성재활의 선행연구들을 비교하여 보았으며 문화적 환경 및 사회 구조적 차원에 있어 장애인에게서 차별화 될 수 있었던 성 생활 및 성 생활 만족도를 알아보고 이로 인한 결과로 성재활 교육의 중요성을 제시하였다. 연구결과 환자들은 첫째, 성 생활에 관심을 많이 가지고 있지만, 실제로 참여하는 비율이 낮았으며, 만족도 또한 낮게 나타났다. 둘째, 환자들이 기본적인 일상생활활동의 일부인 성 생활에 참여하고 만족감을 느끼게 하는 것은 그들의 삶의 질을 향상시키는 데 도움이 될 것이라 생각된다. 셋째, 앞으로 작업치료 중재의 일부로써 이러한 성 재활에 대한 접근이 활발히 이루어질 수 있도록 많은 연구가 계속되어 질 것을 제안한다.

영문 초록

Sexual Activity is basic desires and affect the quality of life. Individuals with disability have also sexual desires and may need other way to satisfying these desires. Thus, the purpose of this study were to research sexual activities, satisfaction of sexual activities, and necessity of sexual rehabilitation education for the married stroke patients in rehabilitation hospital. The subjects of this survey were the married stroke patients in the rehabilitation hospitals in Busan and Kyungnam. And they had enough cognition level to answer the questionnaire. Finally we had gathered 73 questionnaire and analyzed the results through frequency and percentage. As a result of this study, 28.8%(21 people) of 73 respondents said that they‘have sex’. Among those who have said‘have sex’, 71.5%(15 people) people have not satisfied their sexual relationship with their partner. In a question of feels and comfort of the sex, 76.2% (16 people) people answered ‘generally not comfort'. The rest of 71.2%(52 people), who said ‘have not sex', responded the reason for denial of sexuality are ‘fear of recurrence’, ‘rejection of a spouse’, ‘fear of failure’, ‘impotence’, and ‘loss of self-respect’. 61.6%(45 people) of total 73 patients have interest in sex. In comparison, 50.7%(37 patients) responded that they don’t try to get information about sexual rehabilitation. 54.8%(40 patients) responded that they generally need sexual rehabilitation education and 38.4%(28 patients) of them responded that they need the counseling for sexual rehabilitation when they ‘start the rehabilitation’. As the result of this research, most of the stroke patients have large interested in sexual activities but the most patients have not sexual activities and not been satisfied. It will be helpful to increase the quality of life that individuals with disability participate in the sexual activities as a part of basic activities of daily living and satisfy it. So we propose that sexual rehabilitation education as a part of occupational therapy should be achieved by occupational therapist and the more studies about sexual rehabilitation should be continued.
