국문 초록

본 연구는 H대학교 학부생의 학사지도 및 전공상담 경험과 요구를 다층적 분석을 통해 탐구하고, AI 기반 학사지도 상담 시스템에 대한 학생들의 인식과 기대 및 한계를 규명하는 데 목적을 두었다. 상담일지에 대한 텍스트 마이닝과 설문조사, 인터뷰를 병행하여 자료를 수집‧분석하였다. 연구 결과, 학생들은 자기주도적 학업 계획 수립과 개인 맞춤형 학사지도 상담을 선호하였으나, 상담 접근성의 구조적 제약과 상담 참여 저해 요인이 존재함을 확인하였다. 또한 상담 내용은 전통적 진로 및 대학생활 적응지원에서 벗어나 AI 활용과 심리적 지원 중심으로 변화하는 추세를 보였다. AI 기반 상담에 대한 기대감은 높았으나, 신뢰성과 정보 제공에 대한 만족도는 상대적으로 낮았다. 이에 본 연구는 전문상담사와 AI를 결합한 하이브리드 상담 모델 개발의 필요성을 강조하며, 이는 대학 학사지도 상담 서비스에서 AI 역할 확대가 불가피함을 시사하는 한편, 학생들의 신뢰와 만족도를 높이기 위해 전문 상담사와 AI 기술 간 통합적 협력이 필수적임을 제안한다. 이러한 협력 모델은 AI의 데이터 처리 및 분석 능력과 전문상담사의 깊은 공감과 전문적 판단을 결합하여, 학사지도 상담의 효율성과 질을 동시에 향상시킨다. 이는 학생 개개인의 다양한 요구에 정밀하고 유연하게 대응할 수 있으며, 시간과 공간의 제약이 없는 상담 환경을 제공한다. 결과적으로, 이 모델은 대학의 학사지도 체계 내에서 맞춤형 학생 지원을 강화하고 상담 서비스 활용도를 높이며, 장기적으로 학생의 학업 성취도와 전공 만족도 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 준다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore to explore the academic advising and major counseling experiences and needs of undergraduate students at H Universitythrough a multilayered analysis, focusing on students’ perceptions, expectations, and limitations regarding AI-based academic advising systems. Data were collected and analyzed using a mixed-methods approach that combined text mining of counseling records, surveys, and interviews. The findings revealed that students preferred self-directed academic planning and personalized advising sessions; however, structural constraints on counseling accessibility and factors discouraging participation were identified. Moreover, the nature of counseling has shifted from traditional domains such as career guidance and college adjustment toward AI utilization and psychological support. Students showed high expectations for AI-based counseling, but their satisfaction with the system’s reliability and informational accuracy was comparatively low. In response, this study emphasizes the necessity of developing a hybrid counseling model that integrates professional advisors and AI technologies. Such integration is crucial for enhancing students’ trust and satisfaction while expanding the role of AI in university advising systems. The hybrid model leverages AI’s data processing and analytical capabilities together with counselors’ empathy and professional judgment, thereby improving both the efficiency and quality of academic advising. Ultimately, this model enables a more precise and flexible response to students’ diverse needs, offering counseling services unconstrained by time and location. It strengthens personalized student support within university advising systems, increases the utilization of counseling services, and contributes positively to students’ academic achievement and satisfaction with their major over the long term.
