국문 초록

AI 도구가 주요한 미술 매체 및 교수·학습 도구로 활용됨에 따라 미술과에서 AI를 어떻게 교육하고 있는지 심층적으로 분석할 필요가 있다. 그리고 이를 위한 분석 대상으로 교과서는 중요한 교육적 의미를 지니는데, 그 이유는 교과서가 교육 현장에서 활용되는 가장 공식적이고 범용적인 교수·학습 자료라는 점에서 큰 대표성을 띠고 있기 때문이다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서 는 2022 개정 미술과 교육과정에 따른 초등학교 8종, 중학교 14종, 고등학교 21종 교과서에 반영된 AI 교육 내용을 분석함으로써 현재 미술과에서 진행 중인 AI 교육 현황을 진단하고, 차후 개정될 교과서의 방향성을 제안하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 단원의 구성과 배열, 학습 활동의 흐름과 조직, 자료와 매체의 종류, 미술교육 AI 리터러시라는 4가지 기준으로 각 교과서를 분석한 결과 초등학교 교과서에서는 AI에 대한 흥미와 관심을 형성하고 우리 주변 AI 사례에 친숙해지도록, 중학교 교과서에서는 다양한 AI 자료와 매체를 경험하고 탐구함으로써 AI에 대한 기본적인 역량의 토대를 길러주도록, 고등학교 교과서에서는 융복합적인 AI 활용을 통해 동시대 미술을 실천하고 사회적·문화적·총체적인 AI 역량으로 발전하도록 AI 교육 내용을 제시하고 있었으며, 이 세 학교급의 교과서는 각 수준을 고려하여 단계적인 AI 발달 흐름을 보여주고 있었다.

영문 초록

As AI has been utilized as major artistic media and instructional resources, it is essential to conduct an in-depth analysis of how AI education is being implemented in art. Textbooks serve as a crucial object of such an analysis, as they are considered one of the most official and widely used teaching materials, thereby possessing strong educational significance and representativeness. Accordingly, this study aims to analyze the current status of AI education in art subject by examining AI-related content in elementary, middle, and high school textbooks developed under the 2022 rev. Korean National Art Curriculum, and to propose future directions for the subsequent textbooks. The analysis was conducted based on four criteria: the structure and sequence of units, the flow and organization of learning activities, the types of materials and media, and AI literacy in art education. The results indicate that elementary school textbooks focus on cultivating interest and familiarity with AI through everyday examples, middle school textbooks emphasize building foundational competencies by encouraging exploration and inquiry with diverse AI media and resources, and high school textbooks promote the development of social, cultural, and comprehensive AI capabilities by engaging learners in contemporary art practices with amalgamative AI strategies. Furthermore, the textbooks across all three school levels demonstrate a coherent AI developmental progression on students’ stages of learning.
