국문 초록

인공지능 사회로 진입하면서 디지털 기반의 환경에서의 적응 능력과 분석, 해석, 예측, 의사결정과 같은 고차원적 사고력, 그리고 지속가능한 공동체를 유지할 수 있는 사회적 차원의 역량이 요구된다. 정보를 활용해 논리적으로 사고하고 문제를 해결하며, 적절한 도구를 선택·활용하는 능력뿐 아니라 윤리적·사회적 규범을 따르는 태도까지 포괄하는 정보 리터러시를 함양하기 위해 교과 교육, 특히 수학 교과의 역할은 한층 더 중요해지고 있다. 본 연구는 한국, 일본, 싱가포르, 호주, 캐나다의 수학과 교육과정에 나타난 정보 리터러시 함양 방안을 탐색하기 위해 교육과정 구성 체재, 목표 및 성격, 성취기준을 비교·분석하였다. 그 결과 각국은 교육과정의 문서 구성 체재와 내용 제시 방법에서도 차이가 있었으며, 도구 활용 역량, 사회적 소통 역량, 사회 의식 및 실천 역량을 강조하고 구현하는 방법에서도 다른 특징을 가지고 있었다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 교과 교육에서 정보 리터러시 역량을 키우기 위한 수학 교육과정의 개선 방향과 미래 교육의 방향에 대해 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.

영문 초록

As society enters the era of artificial intelligence, individuals are increasingly required to develop the capacity to adapt to digital environments, and acquire higher-order thinking skills such as analysis, interpretation, prediction, and decision-making, along with the social competencies needed to maintain a sustainable community. The role of subject education, particularly mathematics education, has become increasingly crucial in cultivating information literacy that encompasses not only the ability to think logically using information, solve problems, and select and utilize appropriate tools, but also attitudes that adhere to ethical and social norms. This study compares and analyzes the structure of curriculum documents, objectives and characteristics, and achievement standards to explore approaches to fostering information literacy evident in the mathematics curricula of Korea, Japan, Singapore, Australia, and Canada. The analysis revealed cross-national variations in both the organization of curriculum documents and modes of content presentation, as well as in the emphasis placed upon and implementation strategies for competencies pertaining to tool utilization, social communication, and social awareness and practice. Based on the results of this study, we provide implications for improving and guiding mathematics curricula to foster information literacy in the future.
